The Twinning Project organized and facilitated workshops on the transposition of EU acquis for BiH Parliaments

A series of case study workshops on the transposition of EU acquis were organized for the staff members of all four BiH Parliaments. These workshops were organized in four instances in the periods of 7-10 October 2019, 10-13 December 2019, 17-20 February 2020 and 23-26 November 2020. Three of these workshops were organized in PABiH and in NARS for attendees of all the BiH Parliaments, while the workshop of 23-26 November 2020 was held online via the Webex platform due to the COVID-19 situation.

The workshops were opened and facilitated in cooperation with the Beneficiary Parliaments. The Beneficiary Partners choose the specific field being subject of the legal approximation exercise. The Member State Twinning Experts, savvy professionals of the selected particular fields presented direct experience of legal approximation of the EU acquis to the attendees who are involved in the process.

The Expert Teams were invited from the relevant fields and competent European Member States institutions which ensured the highest degree of expertise delivered to the participants of the workshops.

In the framework of these four hosted workshops, the expert team members from Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary, the Czech Republic have introduced four different approach to the respective EU legal approximation fields, presenting their country’s experience.
The interactive nature of the workshops prompted questions and discussions on these topics following the conclusion of the presentations by the experts.
